The Story of Juniper
Juniper Mountain House is a boutique hotel nestled on ten wooded acres overlooking the foothills of Evergreen, Colorado. This 25-year-old landmark, originally built by Will and Jackie Thompson from Scotland, was first known as The Royal Scot Bed & Breakfast. While the property has been well-loved by several different owners and has worn a few names since then – Ashley House and Mountain Bounty Bed & Breakfast – it maintains the same rustic mountain charm and character.
For us, Juniper Mountain House is a retreat. Its proximity to Denver – just a quick 30 minute jaunt – allows the energy of the city to meet the relaxation of the mountains. Our long tree lined entrance invites you in and beckons you to slow down, breathe the alpine air, and let yourself unwind at 7,000 feet.

Originally hailing from North Carolina and Missouri, we know what it means to hear the call of the mountains. We’ve followed, time and again, falling more in love with our Colorado home each season.
With backgrounds in television production and the world of food and restaurants, we’ve been lucky to experience destinations that have a powerful sense of place. At Juniper Mountain House, we invite you to enjoy our take on Colorado hospitality, blending five-star service with laid-back mountain charm.
