What to Expect

We look forward to hosting you at Juniper Mountain House, a little boutique hotel nestled on 10 wooded acres overlooking the foothills of Evergreen, Colorado. Here are a few notes on our lodge so that you can know what to expect and get the most out of your stay,

Check-In (3 p.m.)

On the day of your arrival, you will receive a text to confirm your check-in time. Check in is any time after 3 p.m. Upon arrival, please park in the guest parking lot. Make your way up the stone steps and ring the doorbell. We will greet you in person and give you a tour of the property. You will receive a key pad code so you can come and go as you please for the remainder of your stay. If you are arriving later in the evening, we will send self-check-in instructions.

Property Amenities

There’s so much to do at Juniper! Our hope for your visit is that you’ll make yourself at home, unwind at 7,000 feet and explore the natural beauty of Colorado.

Private Hiking Trails: Enjoy an easy half-mile hike on our private trails – just follow the arrows to the left of the main entrance. Be sure to bring hiking boots during the winter months, from November through April!

Games: Snuggle up by the fire with a cup of complimentary tea, coffee or cocoa in the lobby, play a game or do a puzzle.

Fire Pit: Make s’mores using our for-purchase s’more kits ($5 each) or play some tunes out by the fire pit. Our outdoor gas firepit is located on the lower level deck.

Hot Tub: Soak in the hot tub, located off of the lower deck. The hot tub is open from 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Hot tub towels and robes are provided in your room. Please be considerate of other guests and limit your time to one hour in the hot tub at a time.

Honor Bar & Lounge: Help yourself to cold alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages at our self-serve Honor Bar. Just mark down your selection and we’ll charge you upon check out. While we don’t have a full kitchen, our bar does have an ice machine and microwave for guest use. Click here to view our Honor Bar menu.

In-Room Amenities

In each room, you will find complimentary coffee and tea with a Stagg kettle, wine opener and glasses, hairdryer, luxurious Zents shower essentials, plush robes, hot tub towels, flat screen TV, and iron and ironing board. All guest rooms have DIRECTV cable and WiFi access. All rooms except for the Aspen Corner King have a mini fridge.

Policies

Pets: We welcome potty-trained dogs in our two lower level guest rooms, Boxelder and Evergreen, with a $25 non-refundable pet fee. If your furry friend has an accident, please let us know and we’ll bring cleaning supplies. Please clean up after your pet on the grounds.

Adults-Only: To ensure a tranquil and relaxing environment for all guests, Juniper Mountain House is an adults-only lodge.

Quiet Hours: Quiet hours are from 10:30 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. Noise can travel in an old property like ours, so please be mindful of other guests.

Smoking: Juniper Mountain House is a non-smoking property both inside and on the deck. There is a $400 room recovery fee for guests who do not comply in order to cover the extensive cost of restoring guest rooms to a smoke-free condition. Smoking of any kind is not allowed on the decks or in the hot tub, but is allowed in the paved parking lot. As Colorado is a dry climate and very susceptible to forest fires, please do not dispose of cigarette butts in the woods.

Housekeeping: Housekeeping is available upon request. Just let us know if you room needs a refresher or you need any items replaced.

Cancellations: Guests may cancel their reservations 48 hours prior to their arrival date to avoid penalty (one-night’s stay & tax).

Accessibility: Juniper is located in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains; therefore, we have lots of stairs and an uneven landscape. We do not have an elevator onsite. While this gives us some of the best view in Evergreen, it also means that our property may not be suitable for people with mobility challenges.
